Frisk Thespian

If anything, Frisk Thespian as a character is set in an Au. Although her story has no impact or interaction with MLP cannon, I still feel her story and overall persona arent what you would see in the happy-go-lucky MLP universe.

Female, Late teens - Early adulthood, Unicorn,

Name: Her name comes from the words Frisky (To be Playful and Energized) and Thespian (Can refer to Theatre itself or can mean an actor or actress).
Special Talent: Design for musical theatre eg. Stage design, Costume design, makeup etc.
Cutie Mark: a Paintbrush painting the Greek Theatre masks to represent her talent for design and her love for theatre.
Lives: In downtown Manhattan
Occupation: Stage and Set designer for Star Colt Theatre Company.

Physical Description: Frisk Thespian is a palomino unicorn mare with tan blotches, a brown and blue mane and blue eyes. She is slightly taller than the main 6, and not at all athletic. She is pretty chubby compared to cannon...I just cant draw that well. She has two blue piercings in both of her ears, and often wears a blue striped scarf when it's colder in Manehattan.

Personality: Socially Awkward, Workaholic, Witty, Sarcastic, Concerned (often to a fault), motivated and clever.

Tendencies: Frisk is by no means antisocial, she has no qualms about confronting ponies, but in saying that she is socially awkward and although she is confident enough to speak to strangers, she often ruins it by rambling and saying things wrong. She avoids this by dedicating herself to her work, often locking herself in her room late at night drawing or finishing props. Among her friends, however, Frisk is a lot more confident. Frisk is the concerned ‘third’ of the group hierarchy. Whilst she does not lead the group she tries to make sure everyone is safe and happy. She hides her concern by being witty and sarcastic, often humouring her friends with puns and one-liners.
She can be quick to hurt or anger if you aren't careful, but she isn't likely to let it show. In either situation she may make a few short, aggravated points before leaving and shutting herself in her room.
Frisk is a hard worker, which is actually a fault. Her friends claim that she has a habit of hiding in her work, sometimes ignoring her basic needs to get things done. She will get extremely stressed if she falls behind on projects and such, and even if shes taking a day off she wont go long before feeling the need for sketching or drawing something. If she gets artists block (which happens more often than not) she becomes grouchy and frustrates easy. People tend to stay away from her at these times.
This 'workaholic' attitude may add to her extreme hate of getting sick. If she's rendered sick she wont be able to get anything done, which once again frustrates her and probably just prolongs her bad health.

Likes: Musical theatre, drawing, creating artwork, Working, her friends, singing, cold weather, scented candles (rp joke) and puns.
Dislikes: Hot weather, exercise, getting artists block, people worrying about her, getting sick.

Backstory: This will be very brief and will probably develop as time goes on. All characters mentioned Will eventually have Refs Made for them, and the link to those Refs will appear next to the characters name.

Frisk Thespian grew up in a small town in Equestria,To a Nurse and Police Pony. She has two siblings but they were much older than her, So as a filly she never interacted with them much after the age of 6, when they moved out. Before this, however, her parents were constantly working so she spent a lot of time with her siblings. Her brother, Bench Press, would mostly teach her the basics of life that he knew, whilst her sister, BitterSweet, would indulge her by taking her to plays, more specifically musicals, which the filly fell in love with.

When her siblings moved out Frisk spent a lot of time in daycare or with babysitters. There isn't much to add to this other than the fact that she missed the company of her siblings, who were really the only ponies who would spend time with her.

When Frisk started kindergarten she fell in love with painting. She couldn't use simple magic yet, and would use her hoofs in a fashion similar to fingerpainting. she spent most of kindergarten finding new ways to create art.

At school she finally learned basic magic and would use it to draw and paint. Often in class she would abandon her bookwork in favor of doodling in the corner of her pages, and at recess and lunch she would find somewhere quiet to draw. Art class was her favorite subject, and she had quite the talent for Art.

Her school would put on plays that involved all of the students helping out, be it through performing, playing music, helping with props or even just managing where the parents sat.

Frisk, being part of the art department, was required to create a some props. She made some simple objects and paintings to put on the stage, and her teacher told Frisk to put them on the stage. Frisk decided to put them where she felt they looked the best, and when the teacher saw it they were thrilled. The teacher explained to Frisk that the stage looked better than they imagined it, and asked Frisk to help with the backdrop as well. Frisk and the teacher created an amazing backdrop for the stage and when it was put up, Frisk got her Cutie Mark.

When the play was put on, Frisk fell in love with it. It was a musical, just like the ones Frisk would watch with her sister, and after that Frisk would take every opportunity to watch musicals or plays. She also devoted her time to developing her art skills, hoping to one day become a Set and Stage designer for Musical Theatre.

The rest of Frisk Thespians school life was pretty normal. Although she wasn't by any means shy, she was a bit of a shut-in, devoted more to her work than to making friends. The few friends she did have were part of the drama department. All that's really note-worthy here is that Frisk learned basic acting skills, but stuck to her true skill of set design.

When Frisk graduated she decided to move to Manehattan. She had saved up enough money for a small house, and spent her time devoted to her work. She got basic jobs creating props and costumes for low-budget productions, but never made it big. She lost a lot of her ‘spark’ living in manehattan, only earning enough to get by and never getting inspired for her artwork.

After many years of living in Manehattan Frisk Thespian met Center Stage, a bright and bubbly pony fixated on becoming a Musical theatre star. Center Stage had heard of Frisk from the few productions the unicorn worked for, and insisted that Frisk came to work for “Star Colt Theatre Co”, A Theatre Company Center Stage had put together who were trying to make it big. The company consisted of six other ponies, all with different skillsets and all devoted to Theatre. Frisk agreed to join but it took a long time for her to warm up to the group, Center Stage especially because of her extremely outgoing personality. At first the others thought her a little bit weird because she would stutter and ramble and mutter when faced with having to talk to them, but eventually they all got to know eachother and Frisk came to have a greater bond with these phonies than she's had with anyone in her life before.
It wasn't easy making it big in Manehattan, But this team had huge potential.

Through months of trial and hardships Star Colt Theatre finally became a reality. The gang had bought an old, broken down theatre and revamped it with the small earnings they had. They managed to put on a show and although not many people turned up, the gang were thrilled, now filled with hope that they could make it.

The small theatre company slowly but surely grew in size and popularity. The gang were best friends but Frisk tended to open up to Center Stage more than the others. Frisk loved Stages live-and-let-live attitude, and adored her confidence, eventually growing feelings for the mare. Vice Versa, Center stage loved Frisks Witty humour and devotion to her work. Inevitably, the two got together. Which would lead to the temporary fall of Star Colt Theatre.

After months of being together, Stage grew restless. It was in her personality that she got bored with Frisk and her tendencies. During a show the theatre was doing, Stage had to kiss someone as part of the show. When Frisk admitted her jealousy, Stage finally decided to end it. Frisk was hurt, not by the breakup but by the fact that Stage kept a giggly, bubbly attitude during it.

(This wasn't the only problem in the group of friends that lead to the breakup, but all that involved Frisk) Star Colt Theatre broke up, Everyone going their separate ways. Frisk grew to be more of a shut in, and didn't get attached to anyone after this. She got some jobs designing stages, and would create the set in the comfort of her home, only leaving to see the final product. Without the friends she had grown so close to in her life she grew very miserable pretty quickly.

This breakup didn't last for long, howhever. Center Stage had gotten contacted by someone wanting to by the rights to Star Colt Theatre co. They had been to many of the team's shows and wanted to fund them to grow and continue their work. Center Stage realised that finally the company had a chance to make it big, and set about getting the team back together. Everyone was hesitant at first but all agreed.
It took a short amount of time for everyone to get back to their old routine, but together they pulled through.
So, In short, The Star Colt Theatre Company finally got their break.

Frisk continued her work as a stage designer, content with her lifestyle. Her next big dream is to one day be on the stage, performing. She is working towards that goal now, hoping that her dreams will once again come true.

(Possible continuation. Note that what parts aren't based on my own experiences have been part of a roleplay, so this story will continue to grow and fan out. In Saying that, this description (despite its length) Is extremely brief.)

brief info on mentioned characters (Refs to be added)

Iron Shield: Frisk Thespians father, a police pony whos special talent is protecting others. Shield is an earth pony. Although Frisk isn't very close with either of her parents she prefers her father over her mother when it comes to company.
Cece stitches: Frisk Thespians mother, a nurse whos special talent is surgery. Cece is a unicorn.
Bench Press: Frisks Brother, an athletic pony working as a personal trainer. Bench Press is an earth pony and although they dont talk often, Frisk holds him close her her heart. Even if she hates how he tries to make her do exercise.
BitterSweet: Frisks sister was quite a rebel when she was younger, but she had a caring personality. BitterSweet is a unicorn, and her special talent is looking after foals. She has a colt of her own, who is her pride and joy.

The following characters do not belong to me but are part of Frisks story line.

Center Stage: Stage is a Pegasus pony Frisk meets a few years after living in Manehatten. Center Stage has a special talent for acting, and is the one who put together StarColt Theatre Company. Center stage is a free spirit, and although she means well she often comes off...well...as a bit of a bitch.

Unmentioned members of Starcolt Theatre Co:
Note Worthy: A unicorn stallion who writes reviews and does the manager work for Starcolt Theatre Company.
All-star: An earth pony stallion with a talent for all things musical theatre. Upon the return of Starcolt Theatre Co All-star becomes Frisks best friend instead of Center Stage.
Backdrop: A Unicorn mare who helps Frisk create stage and setting designs.
Sparks: A Pegasus stallion who has a special talent for lighting and special effects.
Violet Specter: A Unicorn mare who can play music like no ponies business.

Frisk Thespian. Half PonySona/Half OC
-female, Late teens - Early adulthood, Unicorn.

-Name: Her name comes from the words Frisky (To be Playful and Energized) and Thespian (Can refer to Theatre itself or can mean an actor or actress). I get that it makes no sense that her parents would name her this because she was completely different during her childhood than she is now but with MLP that doesn't seem to matter.
-Special Talent: Design for musical theatre eg. Stage design, Costume design, makeup etc...
-Cutie Mark: a Paintbrush painting the Greek Theatre masks to represent her talent for design and her love for theatre.
-Lives: In downtown Manehatten (She or characters surrounding her have NO interaction with MLP cannon whatsoever So I guess you can call this an AU).

Likes: Theatre (duh), Cold weather, Video Games (I tried to represent this through her earrings), Music, Comics, Green Tea and books. Rami Malek because RAMI MALEK.
Dislikes: The Ocean (Cant swim), Hot Weather and bad smells. All the stuff I don't like. Because its a freaking unoriginal ponysona. Y'know if we're going for realism as far as I go, We may as well put in my irrational fear of chickens too. :bademoticon:

Personality: Not Introverted but will be awkward and stand-offish with new people, otherwise shes very exiteable and bubbly. Shes very passionate, nerdy and tends to ramble quite a bit. She also isn't afraid to let people know how she feels about them, being somewhat witty and sarcastic with people she doesn't like and behaving very clingy and loving towards her friends. Her moods can also change quickly although she retains a happy, confident exterior.

Backstory: This will be very brief and will probably develop as time goes on. Idk.

Frisk had a relatively normal life growing up. She has two older siblings but was basically an only child as they were old enough to move out when she was a filly. Her parents were always very busy with their work so Frisk would spend a lot of her time with Foal Sitters and never really developed any social tendencies, for the majority of her life preferring to keep to herself and not bother with making many friends. When she was old enough to attend school she discovered she was good at art and would spend most of her time drawing.

Frisk didn't get her cutie mark until she was older (Not that this really bothered her much). At the beginning of highschool It was mandatory that all students helped with the school play and she was given a speaking role. Being in the school play meant she had to start talking with other students and this opened her up a bit, so she was no longer shy.

Her teacher asked her to help with the props knowing that Frisk had a knack for art and Frisk Begrudgingly agreed. She helped make a bunch of props and her teacher told her to just leave them anywhere on the stage. She organised them into places where she thought they looked good and left them, expecting her teacher to move them as she pleased. But when she came back her teacher told her that the set looked amazing and asked Frisk to organize the rest of the stage so she did. Frisk realised that she was having a lot of fun making the set and got her cutie mark. After this day she continued honing her skills discovering that she was also good at designing costumes and makeup for theatre.

She basically got more and more involved with theatre and auditioned for the shows. Becoming different characters helped her develop more social skills and make more friends in highschool, so by the time she graduated she was confident and happy, no longer the introvert she used to be.

When she left school she met Center Stage, a pony who was a starving actress part of a theatre group. Center Stage and her friends were barely scraping by trying to get their own theatre up and running. Center Stage recruited Frisk Thespian as their technical designer and now Frisk is part of the StarColt Theatre company trying to get the theatre up and running with her newfound friends.
